Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses CoServe and is part of our Terms of Service. It exists to keep the Service lawful, deliverable, and safe for all customers. Because carriers and providers can penalize an entire platform for one bad actor, we enforce this policy strictly.
1. Unlawful and harmful use
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any law, regulation, court order, or third-party right.
- Make calls or send messages without any legally required consent, or in violation of the TCPA, the Telemarketing Sales Rule, CAN-SPAM, state telemarketing or call-recording laws, or do-not-call rules.
- Engage in fraud, phishing, smishing, vishing, identity theft, or social engineering, or impersonate any person, business, or government agency (including via caller-ID spoofing or misleading sender identification).
- Harass, threaten, defame, stalk, or abuse any person, or send content that is obscene, exploitative of minors in any way, or that incites violence or hatred.
- Collect, process, or transmit data you have no right to use, including protected health information, government identifiers, or payment card data outside channels we designate.
- Support emergency services, life-safety, or other high-risk applications.
2. Spam and unwanted communications
- No unsolicited bulk calls or messages of any kind. Messaging through CoServe must be conversational or sent to recipients who have consented to hear from your business.
- You must honor opt-outs immediately: STOP and equivalent keywords for texting, and do-not-call requests for voice.
- No list purchasing, list rental, number harvesting, or sequential/random number generation.
- No content designed to evade carrier filtering — including link shorteners that hide the destination, snowshoeing across numbers, or deliberately misspelled prohibited terms.
3. Prohibited and restricted content categories
Carriers prohibit or restrict certain content on A2P messaging regardless of consent. You may not use CoServe messaging in connection with:
- Sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, or tobacco content that does not comply with carrier rules and age-gating requirements (the “SHAFT” categories), or cannabis, CBD, or kratom in any form.
- High-risk financial services such as payday loans, high-interest short-term lending, cryptocurrency solicitation, debt collection or forgiveness, or “get rich quick” schemes.
- Gambling, sweepstakes, deceptive contests, multi-level marketing, or lead-generation for any of the above.
- Illegal substances, prescription-drug offers, or counterfeit goods.
- Third-party debt collection or credit-repair services.
4. Platform integrity
You may not:
- Probe, scan, or breach the Service’s security, or access data or accounts you are not authorized to access.
- Interfere with the Service, including overloading infrastructure, introducing malware, or circumventing usage metering, rate limits, allowances, or billing.
- Attempt to extract our prompts, models, or source code, or use output from the Service to build or train a competing product.
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without a written agreement with us.
- Use the AI features to generate content that is deceptive about being AI-generated where disclosure is required by law.
5. Accurate registration
Information you submit for account registration, phone-number provisioning, and A2P campaign registration (legal business name, address, tax ID, use-case descriptions, sample messages) must be accurate and kept current. Submitting false registration information is grounds for immediate termination.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations, and we may — with or without notice, depending on severity — remove content, block specific messages or destinations, suspend features or numbers, suspend or terminate accounts, and report activity to providers, carriers, or law enforcement. We may also pass through to you any fines or penalties a carrier or provider assesses against us because of your traffic. We prefer to warn and work with customers where the issue appears unintentional; egregious or repeated violations result in termination without refund.
7. Reporting
To report abuse involving a CoServe customer or number, email legal@coserve.ai with the details (numbers involved, dates, and copies of the communications where possible).
